Time to meet “All Pluck” AKA Ducky, he was retired in 2020 due to a tendon injury in his front left leg.
Ducky was born on 20 August 2013; he is eight – years old – in human years he’d be around 30 years old. This stunning chestnut gelding stands about 16+ hands. His personality is special, with a touch of shy, cheeky, but also a big fan of a few sneaky cuddles. Ducky is people oriented but also adores his horse friends. What you see is what you get with Ducky, he wears his anxiety on his sleeve, there is no brave face here – the cool thing with this is he tells you when he needs anything, you just need to listen to him.

Ducky arrived to Life with Horses
Unfortunately, Ducky had this experience after he retired. He was sent to live with people who had all good intentions of looking after Ducky and his re-education but in around 14 weeks his weight, muscles and energy were fading, and he was in a VERY unhealthy and unhappy state. It was hard to see this stunning horse losing his spark and shine.
